Showering After Microblading
Can I Shower After Microblading?
Yes — you can shower after microblading or brow PMU, but freshly treated brows need a little extra care while the skin is healing.
The aim isn’t to avoid water completely. In fact, your brows may need to be gently cleaned as part of your aftercare routine. The important difference is between controlled cleansing and repeatedly soaking your brows under running shower water.
Washing your hair can be particularly awkward during the first few days, as shampoo, conditioner, steam and running water can easily reach the brow area.
So how do you shower and wash your hair without soaking your new brows?

How to Protect Your Brows in the Shower
For the first few days, avoid standing with your face directly under the shower stream and take extra care when washing your hair. Shampoo, conditioner, steam and running water can easily reach freshly treated brows.
This is exactly why we created the Polished Recovery™ Shower Shield.
Designed to sit comfortably across the forehead, it helps divert running water away from the brow area while you shower or wash your hair — making one of the trickiest parts of brow recovery that little bit easier.
Coming soon to Polished Recovery™.
What If I Accidentally Get My Microbladed Brows Wet?
Don’t panic if a small amount of water accidentally splashes your brows. Brief contact with water is very different from repeatedly soaking the area or standing with your brows directly under the shower.
Gently remove excess water without rubbing or disturbing the skin, and continue following your normal aftercare routine.
If the area has become heavily soaked, irritated or you’re concerned about how it is healing, contact your PMU artist for advice.
