Sleeping After Microblading
How Should I Sleep After Microblading?
Sleeping after fresh microblading or brow PMU can feel awkward, especially if you normally sleep on your side or move around during the night.
During the early healing period, the aim is to minimise unnecessary rubbing, pressure and friction against your freshly treated brows. Sleeping on your back can help keep the brow area away from your pillow and bedding while the skin begins to heal.
But if you’re naturally a side sleeper, staying on your back all night can be easier said than done.
Why Back Sleeping Can Help Protect Healing Brows
Freshly treated brows can be vulnerable to repeated rubbing against your pillow or bedding while they’re healing. If you sleep on your side, you may also place pressure directly against one brow for several hours.
Sleeping on your back helps keep the brow area free from direct contact with your pillow and can make it easier to leave the treated skin undisturbed overnight.
Introducing the Polished Recovery Sleep Halo™
We’re currently developing the Sleep Halo™ to make back sleeping a little easier during the early stages of brow healing.
Unlike a traditional pillow, the low-profile design supports the head from either side while you lie on your back, helping to reduce the tendency to roll onto your side during sleep.
The idea is simple: less movement, less accidental contact with your healing brows, and one less thing to worry about during recovery.

Tips for Sleeping After Microblading
Start on your back – Try to fall asleep on your back with your head comfortably supported.
Keep your bedding clean – Fresh pillowcases and clean bedding are particularly important while your brows are healing.
Avoid rubbing your brows – Be mindful of pulling bedding over your face or touching the treated area during the night.
Don’t panic if you move – If you wake up on your side, simply reposition yourself. Healing doesn’t need to become stressful
What If I Accidentally Sleep on My Brows?
Don’t panic if you wake up and realise you’ve rolled onto your side. Accidentally sleeping on your side once doesn’t automatically mean you’ve damaged your brow treatment.
Try not to rub or pick at the area when you wake, and simply continue following the aftercare instructions provided by your PMU artist.
If you notice unusual irritation or you’re concerned about how your brows are healing, contact your artist for advice.
